Oakmore Homes Association is your voice!

Oakmore Homes Association Board members are sometimes asked, "Why join the Association? What can it do for me?" If you are a member, maybe you need to be reminded about the benefits of membership.

The Association is first and foremost, your representative to the City of Oakland . With our 220+ voices, we are able to get prompt attention from our City Council Representative, the Director of the Public Works Agency, and even agencies as far ranging as CalTrans. If we have concerns about safety issues such as the Leimert Bridge retrofitting, the rebuilding of the public stairways, or lighting, the Association represents our concerns to the City and pursues those issues until our community is satisfied.

On a more personal note, the Association is willing to look into matters between neighbors, help enforce and inform residents about local ordinances, and pursue enforcement of blight abatement. We also coordinate informational meetings to alert Oakmore residents to changes within our community, and foster social gatherings to encourage neighbors to get to know one another.
